Solid Hydrogen Storage R&D

The pilot is being conducted in laboratories at seven different locations: University of California at Berkley, ECD, Miami University (Ohio), University of Central Florida, University of Missouri at Columbia, Trulite, and the University of California at Los Angeles.

This pilot will support the development of efficient and effective hydrogen storage for fuel cells, expand the science and technology (S&T) base for hydrogen storage, and advance technology readiness levels (TRL) for hydrogen storage.

Phase I, which has already been completed, identified novel solid H2 storage materials and techniques for screening potential materials.

Phase II is investigating new storage materials and moving toward demonstration. Check back for updates on this on-going project.
